Build the foundation
Develop fundamentals, coordination, confidence, and an early understanding of how the game works.
Player development · Since 2013
Storm meets players where they are, then teaches them how to move forward—with stronger skills, better decisions, and the confidence to compete.
More than drills
Built for growth
Some players need a foundation. Some need a higher level of accountability. Some need someone to explain what they are seeing and why. Storm creates the environment for each of them to grow with intention.
Develop fundamentals, coordination, confidence, and an early understanding of how the game works.
Increase pace, decision-making, competitive habits, and responsibility within the team game.
Connect technique to reads, spacing, timing, film, and the choices that separate good players.
The Storm difference
We care about what a player can do—and whether they understand when, why, and how to do it under pressure.
Players retain more when they understand what a skill solves in the game.
The next step should stretch a player without skipping the foundation.
Training becomes valuable when players can recognize and respond.
Progress includes skill, habits, communication, ownership, and belief.
Development pathways
Storm programs are designed as connected steps—not disconnected offerings. Start with the environment that matches the player today.

Keith began officiating youth basketball in 1998 while still a seventh-grade player. From there, his experience grew alongside the game—from junior high and high school basketball to becoming a college player, coach, program director, and eventually a high school and college basketball official.
For more than 25 years, Keith has worked at the Sportsplex in Belleville, building relationships with generations of local players and families. In 2013, he founded Storm Basketball Training to give players intentional coaching, meaningful feedback, and a clearer path forward.
